Gas detection equipment acceptable to the Administration shall be provided.
Cargo Operations Manual, page 3-10 describes system as with catalytic sensor. Drawing no. 32630.GSS.02.01 pg 4 shows schematic of system with Consilium ST650EX HC/VCM gas detector. Drawing no. 32630.GSS.02.01 pg 2 says system has 2 pumps, 1 for analysis and 1 for dilution. This 2 pump arrangement is also shown on Drawing no. 32639.GSS.03.01 pg 2.
The actual system fitted onboard has only an analyzing pump (no dilution pump is fitted) and the sensor is a Honeywell Searchpoint Optima Plus infrared sensor.
Provide written attestation from the Administration [or RO acting on its behalf] that actual system is acceptable to the Administration, and updated ship-specific drawings depicting the actual system installed onboard.
