The means of escape, including stairways and exits, shall be marked by lighting or photoluminescent strip indicators placed not more than 300mm above the deck at all points of the escape route, including angles and intersection. The marking must enable passengers/crew to identify the routes of escape and readily identify the escape exits. Additionally, escape route signs and fire equipment location markings shall be of photoluminescent material or marked by lighting. PSCO discovered stowage of equipment to include: stretchers, wheelchairs, and medical go kits in a medical corridor, inhibiting the means of egress, and covering the low-level indication lighting.

The use of oil fuel having a flashpoint of less than 60 degrees Celcius, but not less than 43 celcius may be permitted for feeding emergency fire pumps engines and the auxiliary machines which are not located in the machinery spaces of Category A) subject to the following: stop valves and/or cocks are prohivited on the inlet side and outlet side of the oil fuel striners. The fuel shut off valves on the SSDG#3 did not fully closed when actuated.
