MI observed that water light did not have a lanyard. Vessel shall attach water light to life buoy with approved length lanyard and a corrosion resistant clip.

Vessel's rescue ladder does not meet the specific guidelines as per Sector St. Petersburg's Work Instruction MPS-WI-SECSP, Rescue Platforms as an Alternative to Rescue Boats on Small Passenger Vessels. Specifically, MIs observed that the rescue ladder was not equipped with an appropriate platform landing of at least 36 X 36 inches.

Certification or licensing by a state or local jurisdiction as a fire extinguisher servicing agency will be accepted by the Coast Guard as meeting the personnel certification requirements of NFPA 10 for annual maintenance and recharging of extinguishers. Each portable fire extinguisher on a vessel must be of an approved type. The minimum number of portable fire extinguishers required on a vessel must be acceptable to the cognizant Officer in Charge, Marine Inspection, but must not be fewer than the minimum number required by Table 181.500(b) and other provisions of this section.
All three fire extinguishers were expired since July 2022. Additionally, the vessel is equipped with three 10-B:C extinguishers and is required one 2-A and 40-B:C and one 10-B:C.
