Nonmetallic flexible hose may be used in lube oil, fuel oil and fluid power systems only where flexibility is required and in lengths not exceeding 30 inches. It was observed that a lube oil line coming from the Low Lube Oil Shutoff Valve to the left side of the engine from the right was approximately 48 inches.

Action required: 16 - Rectify deficiencies w/in 14 days

Resolution: CTC 29144 oil line repair, shortened hose from 48" to 24" each into 02 lines. The Hose fittings used - 5C5X-5RFJSX to connect the two lines. Vessel is using Hose clamps to secure fuel line in place. See Documents for hose repair photos

To maintain a valid certificate of inspection, you must complete your annual and periodic inspections within the periods specified in 31.10-17(a). Vessel's Certificate of Inspection expired on 03DEC2021. Vessel need to obtain a Certificate of Inspection - Renewal prior to cargo operations.
