The tank overfill alarm required by this section must activate a visible and audible alarm so that it can be seen and heard on the vessel where cargo transfer is controlled and in the cargo deck area. Crew reported #1P overfill alarm as inoperable. While conducting overfill alarm test on #1 port cargo tank during the deck walk, the PSCO verified that the alarm was not operational.
