Safe escape routes shall be provided. PSCOs observed a room-in-room arrangement behind door of photo managers office (B-06-3-003) on Deck 6. When PSCOs tested the smoke detector immediately outside the space the audible alarm within the office failed to activate. All life-saving appliances and arrangements shall comply with the applicable requirements of the code. the normal equipment of every life raft shall consist of: a food ration consisting of not less than 10,000 Kj 2,400Kcal for each person the lifeboat is permitted to accommodate. these rations shall be palatable, edible through the marked life, and be packed in a manner which can be readily divided and easily opened taking into account immersion suit gloved hands. the rations shall be packed in permanently sealed metal containers or vacuum packed in a flexible packaging material with a negligible vapor transmission rate (<oil /m2 per 25h at 23C/85% relative humidity) when tested to a standard acceptable to the administration. vessel was 728 food packages that were not vacuum sealed. vessel had extra rations on board. 74SOLAS(14)III/Reg. 34 LSA4.1.5.1.18
