Master reported the #1 SSDG shut down while dockside at cherry branch, with 06 crew on-board while vessel was out of service.

Trouble shoot and make proper repairs to the #1 SSDG to the satisfaction of the Coast Guard. For the purposes of trouble shooting with technical reps and or manufacture the master may use the #1 generator, while in service in good water and safe distances from obstructions/vessels.
In conjunction, all three generator must be running in immediate standby as a precautionary safety measure.
During departure and entry of the ferry terminal basin, the master shall utilize the #2 and #3 for propulsion until the #1 generator issue is corrected.
