A vessel on a lakes, bays, and sounds, or rivers route must carry: (1) Three hand red flare distress signals approved in accordance with § 160.021 in subchapter Q of this chapter, or other standard specified by the Commandant. Vessel was missing 3 approved red handheld distress signals.

A vessel must carry either a first-aid kit that meets the requirements in 46 CFR 199.175(b)(10) or a kit with equivalent contents and instructions. For equivalent kits, the contents must be stowed in a suitable, watertight container that is marked “First-Aid Kit”. A first-aid kit must be easily visible and readily available to the crew. Vessel had expired aspirin in medical kit.

Child size life jackets equal to at least 10% of the number of persons permitted on board must be provided, or such greater number as necessary to provide a life jacket for each person being carried that is smaller than the lower size limit of the adult life jackets provided to meet this section. 01 of 03 child life jackets had a missing clip.

Every vessel subject to Part III of Title III of the Communications Act must have a detailed inspection of the radio installation by an FCC-licensed technician in accordance with § 80.59 once every five years. Vessel had an expired Safety Radio Certificate.

Employers must ensure that they and their crewmembers meet the requirements of this part. Vessel had a new hire crewmember that was not listed on the companies DAPI program and no drug or alcohol testing had been conducted.

The owner, charterer, master or managing operator shall instruct each crew member, upon first being employed and prior to getting underway for the first time on a particular vessel and at least once every three months, as to the duties that the crew member is expected to perform in an emergency including, but not limited to, the emergency instructions listed on the emergency instruction placard required by § 185.510 of this part and, when applicable, the duties listed in the station bill required by § 185.514 of this part. Vessel weas missing logs and or records of training and conducted drills.

On a vessel of at least 7.9 meters (26 feet) in length, a visual and audible alarm must be provided at the operating station to indicate a high water level. Visual alarm at the operating station to indicate a high water level not working for Starboard Hull. The vessel will be restricted from operating with passengers until corrected to the satisfaction of an attending Coast Guard Marine Inspector. 46CFR182.530(a)

A vessel on a lakes, bays, and sounds, or rivers route must carry (3) Three hand orange smoke distress signals approved in accordance with § 160.037 in subchapter Q of this chapter, and (3) red had flares per 160.021 in subchapter Q of this chapter. Red Flares may be substituted for orange smoke. Vessel currently has 4 Red Flares onboard. To meet the minimum regulatory requirements, Provide Vessel with 2 hand orange smoke or 2 red had flares. The vessel will be restricted from carrying passengers after October 19, 2022 if the deficiency has not been corrected to the satisfaction of an attending Coast Guard Marine Inspector. 50c

Provide proof of Man overboard and Abandon ship drills and training as required by 46CFR185.520. Abandon ship and man overboard drills and training shall be logged or documented with the date of the drill and training and general description of drill scenario and trading topics. The vessel will be restricted from carrying passengers after October 19, 2022 if the deficiency has not been corrected to the satisfaction of an attending Coast Guard Marine Inspector.

Provide proof of Fire fighting drills and training as required by 46CFR185.524. Firefighting drills and training shall be logged or documented with the date of the drill and training and general description of drill scenario and trading topics. The vessel will be restricted from carrying passengers after October 19, 2022 if the deficiency has not been corrected to the satisfaction of an attending Coast Guard Marine Inspector.

A vessel must carry either a first-aid kit approved under approval series 160.041 or a kit with equivalent contents and instructions. For equivalent kits, the contents must be stowed in a suitable, watertight container that is marked ‘‘First-Aid Kit’’. A first-aid kit must be easily visible and readily available to the crew. First aid kit contents are expired, provide first-aid kit approved under approval series 46CFR160.041. The vessel will be restricted from carrying passengers after October 19, 2022 if the deficiency has not been corrected to the satisfaction of an attending Coast Guard Marine Inspector. 46CFR184.710
