The control system should also be provided with fusible elements designed to melt at temperatures between 90° and 104° which will cause the emergency shutdown valves to close in the event of fire. Fusible plugs were painted over on all four cargo tank tops. Ship cleaned and chipped paint to correct deficienciency on site. 93 IGC 5.6.4

Electrical installations should be such as to minimize the risk of fire and explosion from flammable products*. PSCP observed that on each of the vessel’s tank tops the electrical box for the pump start/stop had raptured discs at the closure for each unused electrical inlet. Vessel’s electrician replaced all ruptured discs.
