For tankers of 20,000 tonnes deadweight and upwards, a fixed foam fire-extinguishing system shall be provided complying with the provisions of the Fire Safety Systems Code. The deck foam system shall be capable of simple and rapid operation. Vessel took 15 minutes to demonstrate adequate foam monitor pressure. 74 SOLAS (20) II-2/8.1.1, FSS Code 14.2.1.2, Deficiency Rectified, Code 10.
