46 CFR 185.740(b) Each disposable hydrostatic release unit must be marked with an expiration date of two years after the date on which the unit is installed. - Vessel had expired hydrostatic release. Procure new release and re-register EPIRB prior to operating on a limited coastwise route.

46 CFR 176.808(c) Each item of lifesaving equipment with an expiration date on it must be replaced if the expiration date has expired. -Vessel waterlight battery has expired. Replace with compatible battery. Vessel is restricted to daytime ops.

46 CFR 176.802 At each initial and subsequent inspection for certification of a vessel, the owner shall be prepared to conduct tests and have vessel ready for inspections of the hull structure and its appurtenances, including the following: Inspection of the conditions of the superstructure, masts and similar arrangements constructed on the hull, and on a sailing vessel all spars, standing rigging , running rigging, blocks, fittings and sails. - Could not complete inspection of rigging components hidden by roller furler. Remove roller furler and send pictures of all lower forestay attachment at the deck. - Conduct dye penetrant testing on stbd top shroud toggle at the deck where suspected rubbing has occurred to rule out possibility of a crack.
