When major alterations or major repairs of tank vessels become necessary the work shall be done under the direction of the Officer in Charge, Marine Inspection, and shall be in accordance with the regulations in effect for new construction insofar as possible. Damage to the port side gunwale amidships was reported including a 1' hole in the vicinity of the number 3 wing void. Vessel is authorized to proceed for repairs in accordance with their transit plan. Vessel is authorized to offload cargo at the facility and proceed to the shipyard for repairs. Repairs must be conducted to the satisfaction of the attending marine inspector.
