Chemical tankers and gas tankers carrying cargos emitting toxic vapors or gases shall carry, in lieu of totally enclosed lifeboats complying with the requirements of section 4.6 of the code, lifeboats with a selfcontained air supply system complying with the requirements of section 4.8 of the code. Air support system had a leak at the regulator on the starboard lifeboat.
