The total relieving capacity of such relief valves must prevent pressure from exceeding the MAWP, as established by the manufacture, by more than 10 percent. MI observed the relief valve was set to the MAWP which could exceed the MAWP for the unfired pressure vessel.

The vessel has been both in satisfactory service insofar as structural adequacy is concerned and does not cause the structure of the vessel to be questioned by either the OCMI, or TPO engaged to perform an audit or survey. Due to the reported collision on 9July2021, provide a report of satisfactory vessel structure and watertight door repair prior to return to service. This deficiency may be cleared by TPO, TPO approved internal surveyor,
or CG. Submit Transit plan if shifting is required.

46 CFR 140.210(a)- The safety of the towing vessel is the responsibility of the master and includes: (1) Adherence to the provisions of the COI; (2) Compliance with the applicable provisions of this subchapter; (3) Compliance with the TSMS, if one is applicable to the vessel; and (4) Supervision of all persons onboard in carrying out their assigned duties. Due to the reported collision on 9July2021, provide a report of satisfactory vessel navigation equipment survey prior to return to service. This deficiency may be cleared by TPO, TPO approved internal surveyor or CG.
