In meeting these requirements, the company should ensure that any non-conformity is reported with its possible cause. As stated in deficiency # 2 all liferafts on board were found connected incorrectly. All liferafts were serviced on March 2023 and every weekly inspection submitted to the company since, was without any remarks.

Before the ship leaves port and all times during the voyage, all life saving appliances shall be in working order and ready for immediate use. PSCO observed all liferafts painter lines connected incorrectly. The painter lines were were permanently attached to the vessel rendering inoperable.

Gas detection equipment should be so designed that it may readily be tested. PSCO observed 3 attempted gas sampling tests at compressor room lower sampling point, and 1 attempted gas sampling test at the sampling unit. The tests could not prove 30% LEL alarm is functional. Additionally, span gas used to regularly test on board was not provided with SDS or marked with relevant information, rendering it ineffective testing method.

Resolution: Received satisfactory class report and supporting photos confirming successful test of 30% LEL alarm had been completed in same areas under supervision of ClassNK surveyor. Additionally, test was performed using proper 30% LEL span gas.
