Resolution: Vessel installed rigid jacobs ladder and crewmember harness and demonstrated satisfactory MOB recovery.
Steering systems must meet ABS Rules for Building and Classing Steel Vessels under 90 Meters and as such steering system shall be operational. Steering system was noted with a Leacon Low level alarm due to a faulty check valve. Schottel tech has confirmed the steering system will operate safely, but will be replaced once vessel arrives at destination in North Carolina. Vessel Owner/Operator to prove satisfactory repairs to attending Coast Guard Marine Inspector.
