Firefighting systems and appliances shall be kept in good working order and readily available for immediate use. During operational testing, PSCO observed emergency fire pump not available for immediate use. Took approximately one hour to prime fire main for emergency fire pump to gain any suction. Once pump was operational, discharge showed weak pressure on bridge.

Resolution: Deficiency was corected duting the inspection by the PSCOs when they conducted a second test of the emergency fire pump. During this test the emergency fire pump met the standard.
