A fixed fire-extinguishing system, required by this chapter shall comply with the provisions of the Fire Safety Systems Code. Sprinklers shall be placed in an overhead position and spaced in a suitable pattern over the nominal area covered by the sprinklers. Carpenter shop on deck 8, SRTP locker on deck 2, and engineering stores on deck 4 all had storage above storage line. 74 SOLAS (2020) Ch. II-2/Reg.10.4.1.1 FSS Code 8.5.2.5.3

07105 - Fire doors in main vertical zone bulkheads, galley boundaries and stairway enclosures, a door designed to re-open upon contacting an object in its path shall re-open not more than 1 m from the point of contact. PSCO observed two sliding fire doors which did not re-open when contacted. The fire doors were located at Deck 5 between reception and stair tower and Deck 6 at MVZ across from safety locker forward. 74 SOLAS 20 II-2/9.4.1.1.5.11
