For tankers of 20,000 tonnes deadweight and upwards, the protection of cargo tanks shall be achieved by a fixed inert gas system in accordance with the requirements of the Fire Safety Systems Code. Audible and visual alarms shall be provided to indicate low water pressure or low water flow rate to the cooling and scrubbing arrangement. The low water sensor is not working rendering the audible and visual alarm inoperable. SOLAS (14) II-2/4.5.5, FSS CODE 15/2.3.2.2.3
