The design shall have regard to materials used in construction, the purpose for which the equipment is intended, the working conditions to which it will be subjected and the environmental conditions on board. PSCO observed an active leak on the butterfly check valve on the on the raw water pipe for cooling pump number 3. 74 SOLAS 20 II-1/26.1
