The condition of the ship and its equipment shall be maintained to conform with the provisions of the present regulations to ensure that the ship in all respects will remain fit to proceed to sea without danger to the ship or persons on board. BW JIZOKU reported water ingress from the scrubber exhaust overboard discharge pipe. PSCOs arrived onscene and observed an approximate 2 inch hole in the scrubber exhaust overboard discharge pipe, below the water line, in the engine room between frame 21-22 port side. Ships crew were unable to isolate pipe but were able to reduce water ingress to approximately .4 cubic meters per hour.
