The purpose of this regulation is to provide means of escape so that persons on board can safely and swiftly escape to the lifeboat and lifraft embarkation deck. For this purpose, the following functional requirements shall be met: additional aids for escape shall be provided as necessary to ensure accessibility, clear marking, and adequate design for emergency situations. Emergency escape signage was not adequate in the steering gear room, center azipod space, as well as in the deck 6, comedy club room where one of the two means of escape was obstructed. 74SOLAS 20 CH. II-2 / REG 13.1.3
