Scantlings, material, and workmanship, subdivision of cargo spaces, fitting of cofferdams, and testing of tanks shall be at least equivalent to the requirements of the American Bureau of Shipping or other recognized classification society. Sector Houston-Galveston attended the vessel to conduct a periodic inspection. Severe damage to the port stern bollard was noted during the inspection. The separated bollard caused water to collect inside the base. The vessel representative stated that permanent repairs will be made by the company. The repairs shall be to the satisfaction of the TBSIB inspector within 30 days. 46 CFR 32.60-1(a)
