Each liferaft or group of liferafts shall be stowed with a float-free arrangement complying with the requirements of paragraph 4.1.6 of the code so that each floats free and, if inflatable, inflates automatically when the ship sinks. PSCO observed painter line on 01 liferaft on starboard side of vessel not connected to weak link in arrangement preventing the proper operation of the liferaft inflation system. The PSCO observed 2nd officer place observed liferaft painter line into proper service. 74Solas(20) III/13.4.2
