All vessels must have navigation lights that are in compliance with the applicable sections of the International and Inland Navigation Rules. The vertical sectors of electric lights as fitted shall ensure that at least the required minimum intensity is maintained at all angles from 5 degrees above to 5 degrees below the horizontal. MI observed stern light lamp pole tilted in a manner that directs the stern light more than five degrees above the horizon.
