All life saving appliances and arrangements shall comply with the applicable requirements of the code. Except where otherwise stated, the normal equipment of every lifeboat shall consist of: a food ration as described in paragraph 4.1.5.1.18 totalling not less than 10,000kj for each person the lifeboat is permitted to accomodate; these rations shall be kept in an airtight packaging and be stowed in a watertight container. PSCO observed 03 food rations out of 30 in the port lifeboat that did not have airtight seal due to multiple punctures.
