A gas carrier shall comply with the requirements of the International Gas Carrier Code. The condition of the ship and its equipment shall be maintained to conform to the provisions of the Code and to ensure that the ship will remain fit to proceed to sea without danger to the ship of persons onboard or without presenting an unreasonable threat to of harm to the marine environment. On the transit into Lake Charles, the pilots note a hole in the bulbous bow that had water leaking out. A class report and corrective action plan is rquire before cargo ops and departure from Lake Charles.

The condition of the ship and its equipment shall be maintained to conform with the provisions of the code and to ensure that the ship will remain fit to proceed to sea without danger to the ship or persons on board or without presenting an unreasonable threat or harm to the marine environment. A hole was reported just above the bulbous bow that had been leaking out. A class report was received stating it would not effect the stability of the vessel and will be repaired at a later date. Make repairs to the satisfaction of Class.
