Each ring life buoy must be marked with Type II retroreflective material approved in accordance with 46 CFR 164.018 or other standard specified by the Commandant. Retro reflective material on ring buoy wasted.

Each ring life buoy on a vessel must be approved in accordance with § 160.050 in subchapter Q of this chapter. § 160.050-3(c) Grab line. The grab line shall be 3/8-inch diameter polyethylene, polypropylene, or other suitable buoyant type synthetic material having a minimum breaking strength of 1,350 pounds. § 160.050-4(c) Grab line. The finished length of the grab line shall be four times the outside diameter of the buoy. The ends of the grab line shall be securely and neatly spliced together, or shall be hand whipped with a needle and both ends securely and smoothly seized together. The grab line shall encircle the buoy and shall be held in place by the beckets. The spliced or seized ends of the grab line shall be placed in the center of the width of one of the brackets.

A vessel that is exposed to salt water more than three months in any 12 month period... must undergo a drydock examination and an internal structural at least once every two years. Vessel did not start or complete drydock/ISE prior to due date of 31DEC2023. Vessel has been conducting passenger operations since 31DEC2023. 46 CFR 176.600(c)(1)

Chemical testing of personnel must be conducted as required by this subpart. Fleet of vessels under the managing company did not have or did not properly maintain the following: EAP program, EAP training, alcohol testing strips, record of preemployment testing, and training concerning reasonable cause testing. *Company must provide evidence of preemployment testing for operators and proof of valid testing strips prior to operations. 46 CFR 16.201

Vessel's one of two independent means of controlling propulsion engine is not adequately installed for proper operation. Provide proper means of installing remote reach rod for propulsion control.
