A vessel on which a pre-engineered fixed gas fire extinguishing system is installed must have a means to reset devices used to automatically shut down ventilation systems and engines. At the time of inspection, vessel could not reset port engine after shutdown. The actual panel button itself had gone bad and just that unit was replaced.
