The following alarms must be provided... Alarms must: have a means to test actuation at each operating station or have a coninuous self-monitoring alarm system which actuates if an alarm point fails or becomes disabled; (1) main engine RPM. RPM gauge in the pilot house was not functioning. Replace, or repair gauge, and show proper operation.
