The emergency instructions must be designed to address the particular equipment, arrangement, and operation of each individual vessel.
Vessel emergency instructions are not sufficient. Update emergency instructions with all applicable portions and operation of the vessel.

A suitable metal marine type strainer, meeting the requirements of the engine manufacturer, must be fitted in the fuel supply line in the engine compartment. Approval of bowls of other than steel construction will specify if a flame shield is required.
Flame shield was removed from the marine type fuel strainer for maintenance. Reinstall flame shield IAW manufacturers specifications.

A pre-engineered fixed gas fire extinguishing system must: Be installed in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions and must have a means to reset devices used to automatically shut down ventilation systems and engines as required by paragraph (a)(3) of this section.
The Fireboy engine shut down system override button is not functioning.
Repair or replace the Fireboy engine shut down system override button in kind, and prove proper operation of the pre-engineered fixed gas fire extinguishing system to the satisfaction of the attending Coast Guard Marine Inspector.

On a vessel of at least 7.9 meters (26 feet) in length, a visual and audible alarm must be provided at the operating station to indicate a high water level.
The visual alarm for a high water level in the engine compartment is not functioning.

For equivalent kits, the contents must be stowed in a suitable, watertight container that is marked “First-Aid Kit”. A first-aid kit must be easily visible and readily available to the crew.
