"Each incinerator subject to the paragraph shall be approved by the administration taking into account the standard specifications for shipboard incinerators developed by the organization." PSCO found refractor brick broken off inside the vessels incinerator.

The purpose of this regualtion is to prevent the ignition of combustible materials of flammable liquids. Means shall be provided to control leaks of flammable liquids. PSCO noticed oil soaked lagging in purifier room.

The condition of the ship and its equipment shall be maintained to conform with the provisions of the present regulations to ensure that the ship in all respects will remain fit to proceed to sea without danger to the ship or persons on board. PSCO witnessed antifreeze/coolant leaking from the emregency diesel generator.
