For fixed-gas fire extinguishing systems, the inspections and tests required by Table 176.810(b) of this section, in addition to the tests required by 46 CFR 147.60 and 147.65. The owner or managing operator must provide satisfactory evidence of the required servicing to the marine inspector. If any of the equipment or records have not been properly maintained, a qualified servicing facility may be required to perform the required inspections, maintenance procedures, and hydrostatic pressure tests. Proof of servicing the fireboy system was not available during inspection. Have system serviced and provide evidence to attending marine inspector.

Abandon ship and man overboard drills and training shall be logged or otherwise documented for review by the Coast Guard upon request. The drill entry shall include the following information:(1) Date of the drill and training; and(2) General description of the drill scenario and training topics. No record of drills available during inspection. Maintain required log entry of all drills conducted onboard.

As appropriate for the intended voyage, a vessel must carry adequate and up-to-date chartlet of the area of operation and the capability to determine local tide cycles. No chartlet for operating area was available onboard.

Table 181.500(b) of this section indicates the minimum required classification for each space listed. Extinguishers with larger numerical ratings or multiple letter designations may be used if the extinguishers meet the requirements of the table. Vessel only has one 40-B:C portable fire extinguisher onboard and is required to have one additional 10-B:C.

Your vessel must undergo an annual inspection within the 3 months before or after each anniversary date. The vessel missed its annual inspection. Vessel must undergo an inspection for certification prior to operations.

A vessel that is exposed to salt water more than three months in any 12 month period since the last examination must undergo a drydock examination and an internal structural at least once every two years.

Each ring life buoy with a floating waterlight must have a lanyard of at least 3 to 6 feet securing the waterlight around the body of the ring life buoy, attached with a corrosion resistant clip. Lifebuoy was missing a clip.

Each ring life buoy must be marked with Type II retro-reflective material. The arrangement of the retro-reflective material must be as specified by IMO Resolution A.658(16). Lifebuoy was missing tape.
