Appropriate segregation shall be maintained between control, monitoring alarm, and safety functions. There was no audio alarm in barge control room when testing the gen set PSTP. Also the wrong audio alarms where going off when the gas detectors was tested. Make proper repairs.

Communication between the Remote-Control Monitoring Station (RCMS - Tug) and the essential systems on the barge will be provided by one (1) hard wired and one (1) wireless connection. The CAMS RCMS (wired) between the tug and barge are in faulty condition. Vessel is currently operating on the wireless system. Make repairs to the wired system and demonstrate satisfactory operation of the system as per design and/or provide updated status of parts to make repair. Additionally, operational procedures/instruction must be posted for crew. 46 CFR 30.15-1 and DBA Rev. 8, 3.7
