Machinery and electrical systems must be designed and maintained to provide for safe operation of the towing vessel and safety of persons on board under normal and emergency conditions. Marine Inspector was notified by SCC of T/V LOU GOLDING loss of port engine while transiting. Vessel was able to regain use of port engine. Vessel is authorized a one time transit to repair facility within the Houston OCMI zone to troubleshoot and enact repairs to the satisfaction of TPO.

Action required: 60 - Rectify deficiencies prior to movement
Resolved 23 August 2023
Resolution: Vessel submitted repairs made to gear box piping to the satisfaction of a CG Marine Inspector.
