Those two-way portable radiotelephone apparatus shall be of an explosion-proof type or intrinsically safe. PSCO observed one firefighting radio inoperable during drill with frayed wire. SOLAS (20) II-2/10.10.4

Resolution: Received, reviewed and accepted class report / proper documentation from ABS stating the deficiency was rectified. Burnt fuse for general alarm panel due to Talley fire was replaced. General alarm operationally tested satisfactorily throughout vessel.
