In zones on open decks or non-enclosed spaces on the open deck, with 3m of any cargo tank outlet, gas or vapour outlet, cargo pipe flange, cargo valves or entrances and ventilation openings to cargo pump rooms and cargo compressor rooms; in zones on the open deck over the cargo area and 3m forward and aft of the cargo area on the open deck and up to a height of 2.4m above the deck; in zones within 2.4m of the outer surface of a cargo containment system where such surface is exposed to the weather the following may be installed: (1) certified safe type equipment. Several light enclosures/ fixtures are wasted, missing clamps, have loose seals allowing water intrusion, missing/broken grounds, or have broken brackets and are held together with zip ties, throughout cargo area on deck.

After any survey of the ship under regulations (10) has been completed, no change shall be made in the structural arrangements, machinery, equipment and other items covered by the survey, without the sanction of the administration. Metal tubing was removed from valve 6254 in cargo compressor area and replaced with rubber hose. Installation not as originally designed, allowed leak from instrument control air.
