All life-saving appliances and arrangements shall comply
with the applicable requirements of the Code. PSCOs
observed an issue with both rescue boat's emergency
steering that affected operation. For emergency steering to
work there is a butterfly nut that needs to be removed for
proper operation, and this bolt/nut was installed
upside-down on each rescue boat.

The means of escape, including stairways and exits, shall be
marked by lighting or photoluminescent strip indicators
placed not more than 300 mm above the deck at all points of
the escape route, including angles and intersections. The
marking must enable passengers/crew to identify the
routes of escape and readily identify the escape exits.
PSCOs observed furniture and equipment blocking low
location lighting in the hospital.
