For ventilation ducts around gas pipes in machinery spaces containing gas-fueled engines, the alarm limit can be set to 30% LEL. The safety system shall be activated at 60% of the LEL at two detectors (or one if self monitor type). Found gas detector 113-12 (Main engine #2 gas valve unit negative vent duct) to be showing 10% LEL continuously without gas present. The detector's calibration cannot be verified.
