13 - Propulsion and Auxiliary Machinery › N/A - No Subsystem › Other (machinery)
Issued 9 July 2021
Resolved
Vessels fuel shutoff is required to stop the flow of fuel in the event of a fire or break in the fuel line, a remote fuel shutoff valve must be fitted on any fuel line. Vessels port main diesel engine has fuel cut off that does not fully close the valve and the moussing wire that connects the pull cable is frayed and making contact with an electrical line in that same location. Make cable operable. Starboard generator fuel cable allows the valve to overextend going past the stop and allowing the fuel to flow. Make valve stop operable.
