Fixed fire detection & fire alarm systems shall be periodically tested by means of equipment producing air, smoke, or aerosol particles or other phenomena associated with incipient fire to which the detector is designed to respond. PSCO found crew did not have appropriate testing equipment for flame or heat detectors on board.

PSCO was notified by master that the oily water seperator was non mission capable. Spare parts are inbound, however, administration and class have not been informed.
