Crew demonstrated lack of knowledge of company procedures to test gas detection of LFSS system. STCW Section A-V/1-2.2.2.1

Resolution: Received documentation from vessel and class stating that 60% LEL alarm setpoint was lowered to 48% LEL and tested with 50% LEL span gas that was delivered to vessel. Test was satisfactory.
