(2) Each ring life buoy with a floating waterlight must have a lanyard of btwn 3’ & 6’ long …. (3) Each floating waterlight … must be attached to the lanyard w/ a corrosion-resistant clip. Each life jacket carried on a vessel on ... coastwise ... route, must have a life jacket light approved in accordance with § 161.012 in subchapter Q of this chapter, or other standard specified by the Commandant, including, but not limited to, approval series 160.112. Each life jacket light must be securely attached to the front shoulder area of the life jacket. The life jackets were not equipped w/lights.
