Ships using low-flashpoint fuels shall comply with the requirements of the IGF Code.
It shall be arranged for safe and suitable fuel storage arrangements capable of receiving and containing the fuel in the required state without leakage. Other than when necessary for safety reasons, the system shall be designed to prevent venting under all normal operating conditions including the idle periods.
LEL alarms in the annualar space of the LNG tank holdspace are activated.
