Before the ship leaves port and at all times during the voyage, all life-saving appliances shall be in working order and ready for immediate use. While raising the port side, life boat the davit frame bent due to an improperly stowed rod stop that obstructed the movement of the davit arm. This calls to question the structural integrity of the launching system, and itsability to carry its full complement of persons and equipment.

All life-saving appliances and arrangements shall comply with
the applicable requirements of the code. An immersion suit which has buoyancy and is designed to be worn without a life jacket shall be fitted with a light complying with the requirements of paragraph 2.2.3. PSCO found immersion suits without lights attached.
