Exhaust insulation was missing on the starboard generator exhaust piping in way of transit of personnel.

Provide a PE Letter or other equivalency for the fire detection system on board to the satisfaction of an attending Coast Guard Marine no later than July 25, 2023.

During an operational test of the fixed bilge de-watering system on board, there was evidence that the bilge de-watering system was contaminated with residual oily water mixture. Properly clean the bilge suction piping and engine room bilge to the satisfaction of an attending Coast Guard Marine Inspector. The bilge pump and the bilge suction will be operationally tested to ensure that no oily water mixture remains in the bilge suction piping.

Each towing vessel must be equipped with a sufficient number of fire hoses to reach any part of the vessel including the machinery space. All firefighting equipment and appliances must be maintained in an operational ready and serviceable condition in accordance with 46 CFR 142.325. The fire hose onboard was holed and was no longer in a serviceable condition.
