MI identified port and starboard cutlass bearings on shaft tubes were worn to an unsatisfactory condition. Vessel to replace no later than 31 January 2026 and is authorized to continue operation until this date.

Auxiliary machinery shall be suitable in type and design for the purpose intended. All MDE alternator belts were removed. The Center MDE's alternator was severely corroded that the outer shell was wasted away exposing only the stator winding and core. All machinery was freshly painted and there was no means to charge any start batteries on board without use of the vessel's single ship service diesel generator (SSDG). Repair or replace MDE alternators to the satisfaction of the attending Coast Guard Marine Inspector.
