Marine inspectors found diesel, oil and water along with wood deck plates in the engine room. Remove, clean and properly dispose of water and oils in the bilge and replace wood floors with appropriate material.

To stop the flow of fuel in the event of a fire or break in the fuel line a remote fuel shutoff valve must be fitted on any fuel line that supplies fuel directly to propulsion engine or generator prime mover. Vessels fuel shut off valve was not permantly affixed to deck and could not be found by Marine inspectors directly outside the tank. Properly attach fuel shut off for remote operation along with directly outside the tank.
