The Stbd weathertight door on the main deck showed excessive wastage around the top corner, thus preventing a weathertight seal. Vessel shall make permanent repairs to the Stbd weathertight door within 14 days. 46 CFR 140.610(b)

The master's MMC on board was endorsed for master of towing vessels of 50 gross tons or less. The gross tonnage of the vessel was 74 GRT. The master cannot operate the towing vessel DIAMOND TENDER until his MMC is upgraded to master of towing vessels of 100 gross tons. 46 CFR 15.535(b)

If a component is found unsatisfactory, it must be repaired or replaced. Vessels on deck hydraulic steering ram was missing securing devices on each of the rams securing pins, preventing the accidental backing out of the pins. Vessel shall replace secure devices prior to departure. 46 CFR 143.245(a)
