The Coast Guard recorded this vessel and the following in the same
inspection activity — normally a tug and the barges in its tow. A recreational or
unclassed hull in the same activity is held and not published, so it does not appear
here: these lists are a floor, not a complete manifest.
The owner and managing operator must ensure that the towing vessel is in compliance with 46 C.F.R. Subchapter M and other applicable laws and regulations at all times. On 19APR2022, vessel was found taking on water through a failed check valve connected to the starboard shaft cooling system. Additionally, the bilge system lacked check valves allowing unintended backflooding through the bilge piping. Vessel must obtain a Certificate of Inspection prior to operation to ensure safety of the crew.

If an inspection is not completed prior to this date, the action for this deficiency shall be changed to a 60 (Rectify deficiencies prior to movement) and the vessel may no long be permitted to operate.
